SHOPPING & SERVICES ON UNION ISLAND
Union Island has a number of craft and souvenir boutiques as well as local stalls. The main street in Clifton is a good place to start, especially around Hugh Mulzac Square. Souvenir items include paintings, jewellery, clothing and ceramics.
If shopping for your boat then there is an excellent provision and gourmet food specialist on the main street in Clifton. Water taxis also offer provisioning services. There are a number of supermarkets for foodstuff and essentials, and the open air market is excellent for fresh fruit and vegetables.
As with the rest of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Union’s currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar though the US Dollar is widely accepted. There is one bank with an ATM located in Clifton. Credit cards are accepted in the majority of hotels, boutiques and restaurants.
