VINCY FESTIVALS AND EVENTS
In January, we get the year off to a great start with music at Bequia's Music Festival and Mustique's Blues Festival. When Spring arrives, head to Bequia for the world famous Easter Regatta or take a trip south to Union for the wild and wonderful Easterval celebrations. Both held annually at Easter in March/April.
March commemorates National Heroes & Heritage Month, and in April St. Vincent & the Grenadines celebrates Gospel Fest and Fisherman's Month.
In May it's time for Mayreau Regatta and Canouan's Regatta other very popular sailing races.
Join us in June/July for Vincy Mas, the Hottest Carnival in the Caribbean! This lively and colourful fete is held annually and includes the Miss SVG Competition, Mardi Gras Parade of Bands, Calypso Monarch, King & Queen of Carnival and much, much more!
July also marks Bequia Fisherman's Day Competition and Canouan Carnival.
In the month of August, it's our Breadfruit Festival - a tasty celebration of St Vincent & The Grenadines' 25 species of breadfruit and their historical importance.
Keep on dancing in September at our Dance Festival. Participate in National Independence activities during October. It's time for Theatre Arts Festival in November. Also, Live, Love and Embrace Tourism in St. Vincent & the Grenadines with Tourism Month events.
We finish off the year in December with the National Christmas Festival and our Nine Mornings Festival, an indigenous festival unique to St. Vincent & The Grenadines with pre-dawn street concerts, fetes, fun competitions, traditional music and steel pan each of the nine days before Christmas in various towns and villages.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines celebrates Tourism Month in November, under the theme "Tourism is everyone’s business: Live it, Love it, Embrace it!" SVG also joins the rest of the Caribbean in Caribbean Tourism Month 2015 under the theme ‘One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.'

Nine Mornings Festival Launch
The 2015 SVG Christmas/Nine Mornings Festival will be officially launched on Sunday, 29th November from 6.00 p.m. at Heritage Square, Kingstown, St. Vincent.
The program will begin with the traditional lighted street parade featuring the Police Band, Cadet Corps Band, Steel Band, String Bands, Boom Boom Drums and Drummers. This will be followed by a Christmas concert, the lighting of Heritage Square and the official opening of the festival by the Hon Cecil McKie, Minister of Culture.

Botanical Gardens 250th Anniversary
This year the SVG Botanical Gardens celebrates its 250th Anniversary! Activities fall under the theme 'The Botanical Gardens: From SVG to the World: Celebrating 250 Years (1795-2015) of Biodiversity and Conservation'.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority has been working assiduously since its inception in 2009 to enhance and develop tourism services that are integral to the development of the sector. To date, five (5) tourism service standards have been developed: Tourist Accommodation Standard, Code of Practice for Tour Guides, Code of Practice for Tour Operators, Code of Practice for Short-Term Vehicle Rentals and Code of Practice for Taxi Operators.
SVG Tourism Authority Approved
Upon successful completion of these elements, the service provider will then be registered and licensed as an approved tourism service provider and will be listed appropriately in all marketing and promotional material of the SVG Tourism Authority.
Approved service providers will also be given a license along with badges or stickers that will bear the approved tourism logo (as seen above). This license must be to be displayed on their person(s), vehicle(s), vessel(s) or in a conspicuous place in the establishment.
All tourism service providers must be registered by January 31st 2015.
Service providers who are not registered are encouraged to visit the Quality Assurance Unit in the SVG Tourism Authority on the 2nd Floor of the NIS Building, Upper Bay Street, Kingstown or call telephone 785-456-6222 for further information. Approved service providers who have not collected their certificates, licenses and/or stickers are also asked to contact the Authority.
